Bears in Pre Searing Overpowered? /end sarcasm
I have to ask why the bears in presearing have the "break charm" skill. I'm not a cat person and frankly, I'd like to see rangers have more choices than having a Melandru 's Stalker. I realize thats the quest. Some of us also know the Tamer next to the ranger will take the Stalker if you prefer so you can tame another kind of pet.
I can tame a strider, a stalker, a warthog(pig), but not the bears? So I have to ask, are bears that powerful that ArenaNet doesn't want us having one for a pet? Or is it another reason? I'd simply like more variety and more choices. I'm not even asking you to add more animals, although that would would rock, I'm asking you let us be able to tame more of what is in the game. Maybe that Rogue Bull used for the mesmer quest, bears, hell even a river skale would be cool and different. None of these creatures is overly hard to kill so using them as pets shouldn't unbalance the game. If they do, you could make them scale down to acceptable levels when tamed. I've seen people post strategies like you need a warrior/monk to knock the bear down, and someone else to blah blah. I think it's hogwash. You simply can't charm the bear because of the "break charm" skill. Hell, even scorpion devourers could make a new and interesting pet. I hope the devs look at this seriously for future expansions, updates. gw.gamedogradio.com has tips and forums for all GW players. Last edited by Maegi; May 30, 2005 at 12:01 AM // 00:01.. |

This topic has been beaten to death in these forums, so Im pretty sure Anet has gotten the message.
Bears can be tamed in pre-sear btw, I dont know the trick myself. The trick is listed in these forums though. |
